We only access the camera or photos after you grant permission on your device and only to capture and upload the images you choose.

If you choose to enable location services, we may collect approximate or precise location data to support features such as load tracking, status updates, and safety or fraud‑prevention checks.

2. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage FreightLink user accounts and profiles.
  • Verify driver identity and eligibility (including reviewing ID document photos).
  • Document trucks, trailers, and equipment for safety, compliance, and matching loads.
  • Facilitate communication between carriers, drivers, brokers, and shippers.

We do not sell your personal information. If we use personal data for marketing (for example, email campaigns to existing customers), you can opt out of marketing communications at any time.

3. How we share information

We may share information as follows:

With other users and business partners

Limited profile, truck, trailer, and freight‑related information may be shared with other verified users (carriers, brokers, or shippers) when reasonably necessary to post, book, or service a load.

With service providers

With third‑party vendors that help us operate the App and provide services (for example, cloud hosting, analytics, customer support, or identity verification), subject to confidentiality obligations and appropriate security measures.

For legal and safety reasons

When we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law, regulation, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of FreightLink, our users, or others.

Business transfers

In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the same or comparable protections.

We do not share photos of driver's licenses or other identification for third‑party marketing purposes.

4. Data retention

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • Provide and support the App and services;
  • Maintain business and compliance records; and
  • Meet legal, tax, accounting, or reporting requirements.

Photos of IDs, trucks, trailers, and equipment may be kept for documentation, dispute resolution, and compliance. If you request deletion (see Section 6), we will securely delete or de‑identify data that we are not legally required to retain.

5. Data security

We use reasonable technical, organizational, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized access, or disclosure (for example, encryption in transit, access controls, and audit logs).

However, no system can be guaranteed 100% secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.

6. Your choices and rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Request deletion of your account or certain personal data.

8. International users

If you access the App from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate, which may have different data‑protection laws than your country of residence.
